Pasen (Easter)
“Vanwaar?” is a collaboration between Ivy Kneppers and myself. It’s our graduation project for the bachelor studies Illustration – Animation at AKV | St. Joost in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
This project was an initiative to bring back creativity in primary school classes while learning something about the history of the customs, traditions and festivities of the Netherlands. The lesson consists of an animation and a creative assignment to go along with it.

Easter nowadays is mostly known as a Christian holiday commemorating the resurrection of Jesus. It is celebrated by christians all over the world.
But, is this really the origin of Easter? And what does the Easter bunny have to do with the story?
The video informs the children about the roots of this world famous celebration and challenges them to make a poster to announce their own version of Easter.
